TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECTIALIST

River City Staffing Inc Roseville, CA (Onsite) Full-Time
Job Description

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST needed at a Roseville organization to provide support for workstations, software, network devices, phones, information systems, video conferencing equipment and employees. Includes support of on-site and remote workstations, resolving technical problems, managing upgrades and user installations. This is an onsite 40-hour, temp to hire role. Once hired, may commute in the field and work a hybrid schedule. Overtime hours are available.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as a contact for outside vendor software, Claims management, Office 365 and others

  • Supports computer hardware and software

  • Supports IT needs of Conference rooms and meetings.

  • Works with departments to determine requirements and ensure information systems are operating properly

  • Maintain and troubleshoot computer networks including MS Active directory, file servers,

  • Windows 10/11 workstations, network devices, and internet connections

  • Monitors the help desk, responding timely to technical user problems, keeping a log of resolutions and other appropriate records.

  • Practices excellent customer service skills

  • Trains employees in the most effective use of the computer hardware and software

  • Helps to maintain security of company network

  • Acts as a back-up to the Network/Systems Administrator with restoring/backing up files.

  • Provides general hardware repair

  • Interacts with end users working to resolve problems

  • Performs other job-related duties as required

  • Installs, configures and maintains new and existing PC’s

  • Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities

  • Drives personal or rental vehicle for job-related travel requirements

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Executives, Board of Directors, staff, co-workers and other personnel

Physical Activities

  • Communicate verbally in face-to-face, one-to-one and group settings (gives instructions/information and responds to questions)

  • Ability to work at a desk and/or sit for an extended periods of time

  • Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds such as Laser printers, large monitors, and other equipment

  • Able to bend and maneuver to install/work with computer hardware under desks (may involve crawling)

  • Have sufficient finger/hand coordination and dexterity to operate and adjust office equipment such as computer systems, telephones, and other related equipment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Windows operating systems

  • Network devices, protocols and security architecture

  • Office 365

  • Computer Systems architecture, configuration, and monitoring

  • Troubleshooting methodologies for hardware, software, and networking situations

  • Application of data processing methods to the operations and services of the organization

Skills & Ability

  • Analyze company functions and operations and adapt them to data processing methods and equipment

  • Translate technical terminology into commonly understood terms

  • Provide advice and consultation in development of data processing applications

  • Develop operations and procedures manuals for data processing applications

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers and those contacted during the course of work

  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues effectively

Qualifications

  • Any combination of education and experience that would meet qualification for the position.

  • Minimum three years of experience in a computer operations environment providing helpdesk support and administration.

License Certificate Registration Requirement – Once hired

  • Possession of an appropriate operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.

  • Possession and maintenance of a good driving record as evidenced by freedom from multiple or serious traffic violations or accidents for at least two (2) years duration and required insurance levels.

Pay Range: $35.00-$38.00 DOE

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
