CONTROLLER

CONTROLLER needed for large HVAC company in Rancho Cordova. This is a full-time, 40-hour, DIRECT HIRE position and their need is urgent. • • Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting function, and be accountable for the accounting functions at the acquired entities

  • Implement and oversee robust and efficient monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes at company and acquired entities, including the consolidation of all operating entities into a parent company

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements (with qualitative commentary) for internal team, Board and shareholders

  • Hire, manage, train and develop the accounting team

  • Implement new technology that helps make the function more efficient and/or provides insights for the broader company

  • Ensure proper reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts. Reconcile all general ledger balance sheet accounts.

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.

  • Lead financial integration of acquisitions into accounting and financial systems

  • Manage cash flow and complete cash flow projections and analysis

  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful engagement; provide all requested schedules, information, and support to support audit and tax preparation

  • Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies

  • Process state, local, and sales tax returns

  • Review payroll

  • Manage reporting and audit for company 401k plan and other benefit plans as needed

  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business

Job Knowledge and Skills:

• • Detailed knowledge of general accounting principles.

  • Experience working with acquired divisions (integration and reporting)

  • Experience leading, organizing, and developing a team

  • Experience with Sage Intacct and accounting ERP implementations a plus

  • Strong ability to communicate accounting and financial information into common language

  • Experience preparing financial statements, footnote support, etc.

  • Familiar with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, Positive attitude, team player

  • Highly motivated, comfortable working independently

  • High energy, ownership of work product and dedication to driving results

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, and peers, both written and verbally

Education, Experience, Certification, and Training:

• • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of six years of experience.

  • CPA preferred.

Salary $150k to $180k

Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
